AFOS Foundation, a German NGO, as part of its agricultural project, aims to improve the efficiency of local agricultural value chains, increase food production, and create a skilled workforce within the industry, thereby improving the incomes of farmers, micro and small enterprises (MSEs) and established agribusinesses. This is achieved by partnering with other stakeholders to deliver tailored agricultural Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in line with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) being implemented by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). One of the core programs of AFOS Foundation in this regard is the Technical Vocational Education and Training of Poultry Quality Technician (Poultry Quality Control Assistant) for the purpose of the National Skill Qualification (NSQ) Level 3 Award.
The AFOS Agricultural Finance program aims to enhance the efficiency of Nigerian agricultural value chains and the food production and processing industry, as well as improve the performance and outreach of the microfinance subsector, resulting in differentiated products that better address the needs of rural MSEs, increased lending to MSEs, and higher levels of efficiency gains passed on to clients.
To achieve these set-out interventions in Nigeria, AFOS-NIG INGO seeks proposals from law firms to support the office with legal counsel and corporate governance expertise.
